The studio is very much of the "old school", where things are done by the skill of the operator, not a computer. Modern production methods have somewhat removed the heart and soul from radio, and I endeavour to put it back by returning to the old-fashioned way of doing things. We use a laptop running Zara Radio Suite to supply the music as WAV files for the best possible quality. We can also use CDs and a turntable when required. Cassettes are used for jingles and promos, and a Behringer DJX750 professional mixer to bring it all together. The end result is far removed from today's automated playlist radio.
