The studio is very much of the "old school", where things are done by the skill of the operator, not a computer. Modern production methods have somewhat removed the heart and soul from radio, and I endeavour to put it back by returning to the old-fashioned analogue way of doing things. We use CDs and a turntable for playing the music, cassettes for jingles and promos, and a Behringer DJX750 professional mixer to bring it all together. The only computer used is an HP Compaq to record the shows. The end result is far removed from today's automated playlist radio.
